The American Museum of Ceramic Art is proud to announce the 2023 High School Ceramics Exhibition. Selected works will be exhibited on the AMOCA website with a link to a Youtube video award presentation.

In 2022, the High School Ceramics Exhibition featured works by 99 students from 50 cities in 16 states – a vibrant sample of the next generation of ceramic talent in the United States.

Important Dates

Application Opens: February 12, 2023 at 7am PST

Application Closes: March 12, 2023 at 11:59pm PST

Accepted Artwork Notification: March 31, 2023

Exhibition Dates:  April 14, 2023 - August 31, 2023

Awards Ceremony (zoom): Mid April (Exact date and time TBD)

Submission Requirements:

Work submitted for consideration must be at least 60% ceramic. Works may be made using air dry clay, oven-baked clay, or claymation video.

Entrants must be currently enrolled in high school in the United States

Entrants may submit up to 3 different artworks with up to 2 images per artworks.

 

Additional Information

AMOCA retains the right to use images of artwork accepted for this exhibition for publicity, promotional, or educational purposes.

Artists accepted into the exhibition may be asked to provide a 3-5 sentence statement about their artwork.
